The Lakeside static caravan at the Butlins resort in Minehead is simply a must for your 2016 holiday!
This stunning 6-berth Holiday Home has a prime location with lakeside views and is only a short walk from all the main Butlins Minehead facilities.
It's extra space at 38'x12' provides that feeling of pure luxury!
Lakeside has 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twin rooms, is double glazed throughout, with central heating and is very well equipped. It boasts double-opening French doors onto the lake-side view (fishing is allowed!)
There is a designated parking space for one vehicle - with additional parking available on the site.
Your host, Matt, provides a 5-star service to ensure your holiday is a fantastic one... and even INCLUDES the Butlins passes in the cost, which provides unlimited access to the indoor and outdoor pools, the infamous Butlins funfair and (of course!), Bob-The-Builder-Land!
All three of the Butlins resorts are famous for the facilities available and Minehead certainly has plenty to offer - plus - it's the ONLY one of the Butlins resorts to boast an outdoor pool in addition to the indoor Splash Waterworld which is almost a mini-resort in itself! Full of tropical plants, you can laze away your time with the little ones in a dedicated shallow beach area, with mini-slides and fountains or be brave and try out the bigger rides on the Master Blaster, Black Hole, Blue Comet or the Space Bowl.
Billy Butlin brought the dodgems-ride to the UK in the 1930s, and Butlins resorts have kept the tradition going ever since with their fairgrounds on site. At Minehead: a brand new fairground opened in 2014 with exciting new rides including the dodgems, waltzers, a Helter Skelter and a beautifully ornate carousel.
Of course, Butlins is famous for it's high standard of entertainment - for 2016 across all 3 resorts, this includes:
- Horrible Histories
- Dick and Dom
- Aladdin pantomime
- Laughter, Camera, Action
- Big Top Circus
- Fireman Sam
- Mike The Knight
- Angelina Ballerina
- Thomas The Tank Engine
At Minehead, "The Diner" is a new restaurant with a 1950s theme, with a resident DJ playing all day long and even some surprise performances by the waiting staff! If you fancy a quieter meal, there is always the Firehouse Grill, a Pizza Hut, The Sun and Moon family pub, or Finnigan's Fish and Chip shop.
If you prefer a lighter meal - there are plenty of cafes to choose from - Scoop ice cream parlour, Soho Coffee Co, Bar Rosso, the Inn On The Green pub or try the on-site bakery, Bake Away.
Minehead's sandy mile-long beach is just a short walk away from the resort itself and the promenade is littered with various cafes, bars and shops.
