This semi-detached cottage near Hawsker, close to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, can sleep two people in one bedroom.  The Hayshed is a semi-detached stone cottage a short drive from Hawsker on the North Yorkshire coastline. The cottage sleeps two people and has one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is also an open plan living area with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking and a meadow garden with outdoor furniture. Just short drives to the coastal towns of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay make The Hayshed a fabulous base for exploring this beautiful area.

Gas Baby Belling oven and hob, microwave with combination oven, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, iPod dock, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove rent. Bed linen and towels rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Meadow garden across from the property with furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Beach 3 miles. Note: This property is on the A171 and there may be some associated road noise. Note: There are steep stairs up to the bedroom.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property Feedback:We had a fantastic stay at the Hayshed. Centrally located, a great base to start out from. Just a few miles drive into Whitby (or walk across the cliff tops) but far out enough to be considered rural. The cottage was lovely, clean, full of character and very welcoming. The decor was a little quirky but very much in keeping with the surroundings, it worked well and we loved it. The owners had thought of everything you might need during your stay. Plenty of cutlery & crockery and plenty of towels, including ones to wipe down the dog (we had brought our own but a nice touch all the same). The bedroom was also fab and the bed was very comfortable. The information pack was detailed and easily understood and even included a parking permit to save some of those expensive charges. The bonus of decent Broadband Wi-Fi was great, we played our music through the bluetooth speaker in the bedroom. All in all, we loved it, will definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to others wanting to stay in the area.
