With the coast just 1 mile away, many historic houses to discover close by and the wonderful Yorkshire Wolds offering fantastic walks, Mere Close offers large groups a comfortable, spacious base from which to discover the sights of East Yorkshire.

,We have had many self-catering holidays over the years and can honestly say none of the properties have matched this one. I am not sure what the tourist board star rating is but it's not enough. The house is so spacious and light that we could all have our own space without getting on top of each other. The furnishings are homely and comfortable and there were plenty of chairs to go around. The garden is a delight and the piano is an added bonus especially with my grandson and his grandpa! A lovely relaxing holiday all round.

,A lovely old house, very well kitted out for the 11 of us for our stay. The garden was great for sitting in the sun sipping cocktails. It is very secluded and private even though it is so convenient for everything. A superb and we are looking forward to many return visits!
