This smart cottage is well placed for exploring East Devon and sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. Orchard Cottage has everything you could wish for in a country cottage; wooden beams, rustic flagstone floor and a wood burning stove. Natural materials have been thoughtfully used to create a warm and ambient cottage. On the ground floor, the bright and spacious living area has glazed doors to the private patio area and garden. On the first floor are two attractive bedrooms, a double and a twin room, both have original beams and wonderful views over the gardens and countryside. In the adjacent field, the owners' Shetland sheep graze and the rural location makes a peaceful retreat or ideal base from which to explore nearby Exeter and the surrounding area. The city is famous for its magnificent cathedral, unique network of underground passages and historic quay. From here you can take a boat trip along the River Exe or hire a canoe or bike and paddle/ride along the canal path to the Double Locks Inn. For the more adventurous, Haven Banks Outdoor Activity Centre offers plenty of water sports and an indoor climbing centre.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
