Towyn, North Wales, sometimes referred to as "The Mini-Blackpool of Wales" is a bustling town. There is something for everybody, young or old, families or couples, Towyn caters for everybody. From sandy beaches to nature walks, cafes and restaurants, fun fairs and arcades... all this and more right on your doorstep in the popular, bustling, holiday resort of Towyn, North Wales.
Over time, I will attempt to write about some of the events and activities in and around the Towyn area. Today's topic is Tir Prince.
I thought I would start with Tir Prince, "The Hub" of Towyn. People travel miles to visit the weekly markets and car boot sale but why? Because they seem to stock everything you could wish for, yet every visit feels distinctly different.
The Tir Prince Market and Car Boot Sale
We have checked the dates and can confirm that the Tir Prince Market and Car Boot will be returning on Saturday, 13 February 2016, just in time for many of the Static Caravans for Hire to start to prepare for the 2016 Holiday Season. The deep cleans will begin and the market will be full of Caravan Owners replacing various bits of their inventory ready for yet another great season : so get that date in your diaries folks.
Sunday opening has now been confirmed, 13 March 2016.
The Tir Prince Market, Towyn, North Wales also opens on Bank Holidays and during the main holidays, Easter, May half Term and Summer Holidays you will be able to amble around the market stalls during the week too, on a Wednesday or Friday.
For your convenience, you can now purchase an annual car park pass direct from Tir Prince for £60. So if you are a frequent visitor, you can save many £s with an annual car park pass
Tir Prince Amusements and Arcades
Tir Prince also hosts the popular Tir Prince Fun Fair where you will find lots of rides for all the family. If you plan ahead, you can purchase your wristbands online before you go and enjoy 10% discount off the regular price. You can buy a morning wristband, an evening wristband or for a little extra a full day wristband.
With a daily wristband, you can take the family for some funfair adrenalin rush, then break off to stroll around the market with a promise to the kids you will return to the funfair on the way back. Then pop back again throughout the day or evening.
You can even purchase a weekly wristband and come and go as you please.
"NOTE" Parking is "FREE" to use for the market except on market days, so again, if you are a frequent visitor : consider the £60 annual parking pass.
Tir Prince Harness Racing
I have yet to experience the Tir Prince Harness Racing. Why? Because I didn't know when the Harness Races were taking place. We have been told by many that "you simply MUST go and watch, it is so exciting" but yet, we always missed the meetings. So, this year I have made a note of the dates and here they are : so if you are planning a trip to Towyn, North Wales or indeed staying in one of my Static Caravans for Hire, why not plan a visit for yourself :
