This fabulous, stone-built terraced cottage, built in 1680 in Preston-under-Scar, can sleep four people in three bedrooms.  Emcot is a wonderful, mid-terrace stone cottage, built in 1680 in Preston-under-Scar, three miles from Leyburn in North Yorkshire. The cottage has three first floor bedrooms, including a king-size double room. There is a first floor bathroom, a ground floor shower room and a sitting room with a south facing balcony. On the lower ground floor, there is a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting area for two by a woodburning stove. The boot room allows access into an enclosed, south facing cottage garden at the back of the property, where you can sit and enjoy a drink in the summer. There is also roadside parking available on a first come/first served basis, but which is usually available. Set in a wonderful spot, with so much to see and do in the surrounding area, Emcot is a wonderful base for couples, friends and families.

Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with FreeSat, DVD, iPod dock, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking by cottage on first come, first served basis. Rear enclosed garden with furniture. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property Feedback:A beautiful cottage, very dog friendly, warm, cosy and in a lovely quiet village. Stunning views with fabulous walks right from the doorstep. The kitchen was so well equipped and a pleasure to use. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen pristine and luxurious. There are lovely pubs very close by with excellent food. I cannot fault this cottage and location, can't wait to return.

,Emcot is a charming period house tucked away in the peaceful hamlet of Preston under Scar, a perfect location to explore the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The house spans over three floors, with a Juliet balcony on the second floor, the main living room, " what a view". Fully equipped with every mod con and packaged beautifully, with really lovely decor. I would wholeheartedly recommend this home from home, as the base for a wonderful scenic experience. The house itself has everything you could want and more.

,We liked the welcoming comfort of the cottage. A well equipped country kitchen, dog friendly boot room, enclosed garden and comfortable beds. The area has lots to see, beautiful scenery, lovely villages, great pubs ( many dog friendly) and very friendly people.
