This pet friendly, ground floor studio apartment on a working farm sleeps 2 people in the village of Cowdale just a couple of miles from the famous Roman spa town of Buxton in the Peak District National Park. The Shavings occupies an excellent location on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Just 2.5 miles from Buxton, this charming studio apartment is set on the ground floor of an old stone barn on a working farm in the hamlet of Cowdale. The Shavings' welcoming and comfortable accommodation includes an open plan studio room with a 4ft double bed, a well equipped fitted kitchen area with breakfast bar and a sitting area. There are numerous diverse and enjoyable walks that start from The Shavings' doorstep, and wonderful market towns offering gorgeous local food and drink. This is a cosy and value for money holiday home for those who want to sample all that the Peak District has to offer.

Skirting heaters and electric fire in sitting area. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, TV, DVD, WiFi. Shared use of laundry room with washer/dryer. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Shared outdoor sitting area with furniture. Ample off road parking. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs 2.5 miles (Buxton). Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Note:All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property Feedback:The cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful setting yet is only five minutes from a major town. The accommodation was so cosy and welcoming to arrive back to at the end of each day. The owners were helpful, friendly and always on hand.
