Shunting Cottage is an unusual stone-built ground floor former station house, one mile from Acklington and four miles from the village of Warkworth. The cottage is comfortably furnished, and the accommodation includes two bedrooms, a delightful sitting room with a large picture window and dining area, a superb fitted kitchen and two bedrooms with en-suite facilities. Whether you are a couple looking for a romantic retreat, or a family that wants to explore the many attractions of this splendid area, Shunting Cottage is a wonderful base from which to discover all that the region has to offer. Sandy beaches, lovely villages, the stunning scenery of the National Park and more can be found in this great holiday destination.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 1 car. Private, enclosed gravelled garden area with furniture and BBQ. Shared use of front lawned area with the owners (next door). Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 2.5 miles, pub 5 mins walk. Note: No children under 7, including infants.

Note:All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
