This character detached cottage in Staithes sleeps nine people in five bedrooms. York House is a wonderful detached cottage in the village of Staithes, with sea views and a wealth of character and charm. There are five bedrooms - a king-size double leading to a twin on the second floor, and on the first floor a king-size double, double with en-suite wet room and a single. There is also a bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower cubicle on the first floor, and a cloakroom on the ground floor. There is a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with open fire in feature fireplace, and a basement games room with full size pool table. Outside is a small courtyard, and a parking permit is provided for two cars for the car park at the top of the bank a couple of minutes' walk from the cottage. York House has the amenities and beach of Staithes on the doorstep, as well as good walking and easy access to the rest of the coast, including Whitby, or the lovely North York Moors.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
Property Feedback:It was the perfect house for such a large number of people. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The amenities were lovely and the views superb. I would have little difficulty in recommending this property to anyone. Well worth a visit.
,A lovely property with a homely feel. It is in a quaint setting, peaceful and with stunning views across the harbour. There were great walks close by too.
,We loved the comfort of the house and the high quality of the contents. We loved the village itself, the pubs and gorgeous coffee places, and the scones; the friendliness and helpfulness of all we met! We enjoyed setting off for a walk from the house, with no need to get the car - the cliff walks to the nearby villages were so good. We loved everything!
