This wonderful, detached cottage is situated on the outskirts of Arnside in Cumbria, and can sleep twelve people in six bedrooms.  Thornfield is a charming, detached cottage, situated on the outskirts of the Cumbrian village of Arnside. The cottage is set over four floors and can sleep twelve people in a double and a zip/link twin room on the lower ground floor, a super king-size double room on the first floor offering access to a room with a single day bed in the attic, a twin room, and a family room containing a double and single bed. There is a family bathroom and a shower room on both the ground and lower ground floors. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, open fire, and doors to the patio, and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside, enjoy use of lawned gardens, a decked patio with furniture, and extensive grounds with a summer house. There is also off road parking for four cars. Thornfield is a wonderful base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District, with something to do for all the family.

Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer with ice-maker, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books, games and toys. Fuel, power and starter pack for fires inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 4 cars. Lockable bike storage. Lawned gardens and decked patio with furniture, BBQ and chiminea with access to extensive grounds with summerhouse. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 8 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Note: Twins can be super king-size doubles by arrangement with owner, at least 1 week in advance. Note: Attic bedroom accessed through super king-size double, can also be used as a play room.

Note:All prices are inclusive of the booking fee.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

,The house was enormous with some unusual features e.g.the top play room, which the children really enjoyed and the "underground" rooms which were great for our part of the family with a dog. The gardens were so well-kept without being formal and the different levels made it interesting. Our host was easily accessible by phone and very helpful.
