This semi-detached timber-framed lodge near Saffron Walden sleeps four people in three bedrooms. Fisherman's Lodge is a welcoming timber-clad lodge overlooking a fishing lake in a countryside setting in Duddenhoe End near Saffron Walden. The cottage has a double and a twin on the ground floor, and a king-size double on the galleried area overlooking the living space. The bathroom is on the ground floor too, along with the open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and a patio with furniture and BBQ. Fisherman's Lodge makes a great base for enjoying the area, including trips to Cambridge, IWM Duxford and Audley End.

Ground source heat pump heating with underfloor on ground floor. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Patio with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: Galleried bedroom accessed via spiral staircase. Note: This cottage is awarded CAT 2 so is suitable for accompanied disabled. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

Property Feedback:The Lodge is just as it's pictured: really lovely and comfortable and very clean and welcoming. The surrounding gardens and lake are very picturesque; so well-maintained and looked after. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit out in the sun every day. The fishing was good and greatly enjoyed. The owner made us feel very much at home and we were sad to leave. We hope to return next year for another stay in this beautiful, peaceful location.
